I know there are several independent versions of grbl out on the web. Does anyone know of a version of grbl that anyone has added parser look head? If not is anyone interested in adding look ahead to it? I really want to add cutter radius compensation but it will need to look ahead to accomplish that and I just haven’t had time to add the look ahead or even research a method to do so.

True it does, but the planner is for motion efficiency. For compensation it will need the ability to ‘hold’ the current motion line until another motion line is parsed. When the second line is processed, the first lines destination can be determined and thus processed in the normal motion planner.

I am confused by your question because GRBL already has a ‘planner’ that does indeed look ahead and plan future moves.
