[gnea/grbl-Mega Issue#156] Can i use Bluetooth/RS232 Adaptor? About GRBL HAL

Hi
I have mainboard MKS Gen 1.4.
Can i use Connector labeled 5V, GND, RXD2 and TXD2 for BT-Communication with HC-05 Modul?
It seems i only need to change jumpers JL1 and 2 and JP1-4 !?

Hi @rt1970

I’m afraid, you can’t do this directly!!

Since Arduino serial 1, serial 2, 3 or 4 doesn’t use the same registers and interrupt, you will need to translate the code in the serial.c file according to the ATmega2560 datasheet for making the communication matching the other serial port.
