I just completed testing on a design to support the MPCNC machine, but it could be easily adapted to other machines.
It has 5 motor drivers so that there can be (2) each on X and Y. The (2) motors on each axis share a direction pin, but have separate step pins. This means you can do auto squaring on those axes, but you can not use them for a 4th or 5th axis.
I have a few to sell on Tindie later this week, but will have a lot more within a few weeks.
