Hello,
I have a board labeled MKS DLC32 MAX V1.0, which appears to use an ESP32-S3 chip. As far as I understand, this board is not currently supported by FluidNC.

Previously, I was able to control my CNC machine using GRBL.exe (the axes were moving), but now the machine no longer responds.

I also want to upload firmware that includes probe functionality, but I’m currently unable to do so.

I would really appreciate help with the following questions:

Is it possible to use FluidNC with MKS DLC32 MAX V1.0 to control a CNC machine?

If there is an experimental firmware for ESP32-S3, where can I find it?

Why might GRBL no longer work, even though it used to?

Is it possible to control my CNC and use probing features with this board, or should I consider switching to a different one?

Thank you in advance for your support!

I am trying to use the MKS DLC32 MAX V1.0 board, which features an ESP32-S3 chip, to control a 3-axis CNC machine and perform PCB probing. However, I’m facing multiple issues:

GRBL compatibility issue: Previously, the board worked with GRBL and GRBL.exe (via USB serial), and I was able to control X/Y/Z axes. Now, after flashing other firmware and testing, it no longer responds via GRBL.exe.

FluidNC incompatibility: FluidNC’s official release does not support the ESP32-S3 variant. I’m aware of the experimental esp32s3 branch, but it’s not recommended or maintained at this point. Attempting to flash it either fails or results in no response.

Probing function not available: I need to use a probing feature for PCB work, but I can’t find any firmware for this board/chip combination that supports probing reliably.

My main goal is to make this board control my CNC machine and support Z-probing. If this board is fundamentally incompatible with existing stable firmware, I would appreciate clarification and recommendations

As Bart already wrote (https://github.com/bdring/FluidNC/issues/1471#issuecomment-2858368551), FluidNC does not support the S3, you will have to contact Makerbase for help.
